穆湘玥　字藕初。年四十一岁。生于江苏上海。已婚。子二。女一。初任上海龙门师范学堂监学。及苏省铁路警务长。宣统元年。自费游美。后得官费补助。入威斯康心大学。习农业。宣统三年。入伊里诺爱大学。民国二年。得学士学位。入德撒省实业学校。习棉纱纺织。民国三年。得硕士学位。是年回国。任上海德大纱厂经理。及厚生纱厂经理。著有植棉改良浅说。学校管理法。及日本之纱布业等书。通信处。上海华德路七十八号德大纱厂。

Moh, H. Y.-Born in Shanghai, Kiangsu, 1876. Studied at private schools. Director, Loong Men Normal School, 1906. Superintendent of Police, Kiangsu Railway Co., 1907-8. Arrived in America, July, 1909. Partial government support. Studied Agriculture at the University of Wis-consin, 1909-11 and at the University of Illinois, 1911-15; Cotton Spinning and Weaving at A & M College, Texas, 1913-14. B.S., 1913; M.S., 1914. Returned to China, 1914. Managing Director, Teh Dah Cotton Spinning Co. and Hou Sung Cotton Spinning Co., Shanghai, 1916 to date. Author of several books on Cotton and Cotton Spinning and Weaving in Chinese.
